How to delete screenshots and screen recordings on iPhone
Open Photos, scroll to Media Types and tap Screenshots (or Screen Recordings). Tap Select, drag across thumbnails to select many at once, then tap the trash icon. Screen recordings are usually the bigger space win. Puri lists both in its scan, sorted by size.
Bulk-delete screenshots in Photos
- Open Photos and scroll down to Media Types → Screenshots.
- Tap Select. Drag your finger across a row and down to select many thumbnails at once.
- Tap the trash icon and confirm.
- Open Utilities → Recently Deleted and delete them there to free the space immediately.
Don’t forget screen recordings
A single screen recording can be larger than hundreds of screenshots. They live in Media Types → Screen Recordings. Watch the start of anything you’re unsure about, then delete the rest.
Keep the screenshots that still matter
- Tickets, receipts and confirmations: save them to Files or Wallet, then delete the screenshot.
- Favourite the few you want to keep (the heart), so they’re easy to skip when you select.
- Use Live Text to copy text out of a screenshot before deleting it.
